Build Engineer

SUMMARY

 

Grove Street Games is seeking a full-time build engineer to join our team in Gainesville where you will focus on maintaining and improving the build pipeline across all of our projects and platforms, the tools our Quality Assurance and Community Management teams rely on to provide feedback and support, and continuous integration setup on games in active production. Our development cycle is dependent on having up to date and accurate builds and related tools to work on across all teams, it’s your mission to ensure the teams have what they need to deliver amazing games. Our QA and CM tools allow us to navigate development and make a positive impact on our communities in the best possible way. The successful candidate needs to be industrious with the desire to learn, adapt and improve all the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop, maintain and improve the build pipelines that are critical to developing and shipping our games
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to help with improvements and deployments of builds
  • Generate regular product builds across multiple platforms
  • Troubleshoot build problems and communicate issues to the team
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members across a variety of fields and teams within the company

GOOD TO HAVE

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • A passion for building tools, process optimization and automation to support other engineering teams
  • BS in Computer Science or other technical major, or equivalent experience
  • Extremely capable in C#. Also well acquainted with scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, and Windows Batch
  • Proficient in version control systems
  • Previous experience in the gaming industry is preferable, though experience making similar tools in a software development setting is a good proxy
  • Relocate to Gainesville – This position is not remote and requires working from our office with the rest of our team. We follow CDC guidelines for our COVID protocols
