SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

SUMMARY

Grove Street Games is seeking a full-time, highly creative colleague to join our team as a Social Media Manager. In this role, you will lead our global social media presence – strategizing, creating, and executing content that defines our game’s voice and connects directly with our players. We are looking for an ambitious, trend-savvy creator who can balance structured campaign planning with the ability to rapidly capitalize on internet culture. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, execute, and own the social media strategy and editorial content calendars across all major platforms
  • Concept, capture, and edit visually compelling, platform-native short-form video content (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels) and organic graphic assets
  • Monitor daily internet, gaming, and pop-culture trends to rapidly pitch and execute high-impact reactive content
  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns, managing budgets, target audiences, and testing to maximize ROI
  • Establish and manage an efficient content pipeline, working cross-functionally with our production team to align social plans with our game updates and milestones
  • Manage day-to-day community interaction across social handles to foster positive engagement, active discussion, and brand loyalty

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent writing, grammar, copy editing, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
  • Strong hands-on video editing skills for short-form platforms (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
  • Solid graphic design skills for visual content creation (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar)
  • Foundational understanding of paid social advertising principles and managing digital ad budgets
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple content pipelines at once
  • Deep understanding of current gaming trends, memes, and online player culture
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and native platform dashboards
  • Relocate to Gainesville – This position is not remote

  • Portfolio or links to active work samples demonstrating strong visual design, copywriting, or short-form video editing
  • Experience running social media accounts or online communities for clubs, personal projects, or internships
  • Passion for mobile, live-service, or community-driven games
  • Knowledge of video games, our studio's catalog, or experience with titles we’ve worked on like ARK: Survival Evolved
