TECHNICAL ARTIST
SUMMARY
Grove Street Games is seeking a full-time, experienced technical artist to join our team where you will focus on Unreal Engine 4 tools, pipelines, and content management to assist the art team on a daily basis. We are looking for a motivated, well-organized person who can work well on individual and team-oriented tasks with a passion for 3D game art. The successful candidate needs to love problem solving and be able to bridge the gap between traditional art and programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, assess and solve workflow issues in the art department
Work closely with engineers to solve content problems
Integrate new technologies
Assist in asset performance monitoring
Continually assess reported bugs and monitor for recurring issues that can be solved with a technical approach
Participate and contribute creatively in team discussions, critiques, and game development ideas
REQUIREMENTS
At least 2+ years working professionally in Unreal Engine
Expert level use of a 3D tool such as Maya, Houdini, Blender or the like
Experience with multiple scripting languages
Rigging and animation experience
Self-motivated, ability to work independently and own your work
Ability to work well with teammates
Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
Detail-oriented & extremely well-organized
Relocate to Gainesville – this job is not remote
GOOD TO HAVE
Experience in VFX
Strong understanding of shaders
Passion and knowledge of video games
Creative problem-solving skills
